What Happens when you call us

Calls for assistance are receive a the NORCOM center which is a state of the art designated 911 emergency dispatch center.  Ambulance, Fire and Rescue units are dispatched from one or both of our stations as needed for the emergency.  As one of the larger departments in the area we are able to respond with sufficient resources to handle the vast majority of our calls.

However in the event that additional or special resources are needed the Melrose Park Fire Department is a member of MABAS DIVISION 20 which provides additional equipment and personnel upon request.
