The Melrose Park Fire Department has a highly trained staff 60 full time firefighters and 12 paramedics operating out of two stations  twenty-four hours per day, 365 days a year. 

The department is composed of four major areas of expertise; Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Prevention and Training.  Each division is responsible for a variety of programs offered to our residents including: Public Prevention Education, Advanced Life Support Ambulance Services, Rescue, Fire Suppression, Fire Inspections, Fire Investigations, Hazardous Materials Response and other special rescue responses.
